Cretan Gastronomy Days 2019 in Heraklion

Already today from 17 started in Heraklion Cretan Gastronomy Days 2019. This event is organized for the second year in a row on the initiative of the Heraklion Municipality at the Old Vegetable Market. The Cretan Gastronomy days will last four days and will end on Sunday, September 29. It looks like it will be a time filled with Cretan smells, flavors and sounds. Exhibitions, tastings and other events will be devoted exclusively to local products from Crete, promotion of local characteristic dishes and flavors typical of the island.

An exhibition of Cretan products, gastronomic shows and free tastings of Cretan dishes prepared by the Chefs' Club are planned for today. From 20.30 participants will be accompanied by live music performed by Antonis Martsakis and his band. It is important to emphasize that admission is free at Cretan Gastronomy Days.

This year's events are patronized by, among others, the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Tourist Organization (EOT).
