Crete's weather rollercoaster

Last weekend in Crete resembled a holiday episode, because the temperature in many places on the island reached over 30 degrees. The town where absolutely record values were recorded was Fodele, located near Heraklion. On Sunday afternoon, the thermometers there showed as much as 34.9 degrees Celsius.

The hot episode did not last long, however, because the temperature began to drop drastically on Monday. The last few hours brought an even greater cooling, which in towns located in slightly higher areas of Crete, even caused snowfall. The Nida plateau, Zominthos, Anogia were covered with a layer of white fluff, and the landscape of these places changed to a typical winter one.

However, weather forecasts do not show a long-term cooling. Everything indicates that after these weather outbursts, early spring weather is to return to Crete with temperatures more appropriate for this time of year.

Further forecasts for April show that it will be much warmer and unfortunately will not bring the much-anticipated rainfall.

Musiał jakiś ciepły front przejść bo na Cyprze też był weekend 29/30 w nocy 16/17st a ten tydzień juz 16 za dnia i 8 w nocy :) Też taki „epizod” :)

Christian Arnidis - Moja Grecja Z tym będzie gorzej. Wody w tym zbiorniku jest tak mało że wyłączyli go właśnie z użytkowania.
