Concerts of Cretan musicians

Crete is not only beautiful landscapes, history and delicious food. Kreta is also a specific, vibrating and memorable music. Some people do not like it, others love it. The latter will certainly be interested in the fact that a special playlist has been created on YouTube as part of the Region of Crete channel in recent days, with thirty concert recordings of Cretan musicians. Certainly thanks to this music you can feel the atmosphere of live concerts for a moment. The link to the playlist is here and one of the shows is embedded below.

Interestingly, this is a project co-organized by the Region of Crete and co-financed in the amount of EUR 100,000 by the Greek Ministry of Culture. Thanks to this cooperation, it was possible to organize and disseminate recordings of these concerts. The main goal of this program is to support and popularize the work of local artists who, in times of a pandemic and various restrictions, also bear financial consequences. 30 Cretan music groups took part in this program and more than 150 artists and cultural workers in Crete took advantage of it.
