Due to the change of the fire risk forecasts, it will be possible to enter the hiking trails today.

In recent days, Crete is again under the influence of masses of hot dry air. Unfortunately, this situation results in an increased fire risk. A particularly dangerous situation is forecasted for the western part of the island, where the fourth level of danger is expected for today and tomorrow. We have recently informed you that, as in previous years, Crete has introduced legislation that will close access to certain forest areas in the event of such a high risk of fire.

In the case of western Crete, these sanctions have affected the hiking trails led by such ravines as: Samaria , Agia Irini and Imbros .
