This weekend the half-marathon in Crete

If you are staying in Crete this weekend and you feel like spending it in a more active way, we have a proposal for you. The fifth edition of the half marathon will take place on Crete next Sunday, October 7th. If anyone of you would be interested in participating, it is still possible to register for the run taking place at this distance.

The start and finish of this race is in Arkalochori, which is about 30 km from Heraklion. The route will run, among others, through towns such as Thrapsano and Galatas. During the course participants will be able to count on the possibility of using seven irrigation points. Participants in the half-marathon will have to climb several hills while running. The difference in height between the highest and the lowest point of the route is about 100m.

The cost of participation in this race is 15 €. As part of the payment you will receive a bag, a technical running jersey and a number with a chip allowing electronic time registration. Each person who completes the race will also receive a hand-made medal with the appearance of the Asics shoe.
