When creating a list of the most popular and at the same time the most characteristic beaches in Crete, Elafonisi cannot be missed. This is one of the so-called iconic places where, according to most tourists, you just have to be. Unfortunately, such popularity comes at a price and has an impact on the environment. At the height of the holiday season, the number of tourists staying on Elafonisi reaches record values. On such days it can be crowded and noisy here. All this means that calling sunbathing in this place - relaxation is a purely theoretical concept. However, despite all these flaws, it was a lie to say that Elafonisi is not a beautiful place.
