Powerful downpours in Crete

This year's Cretan autumn has once again shown its unpredictable face this year. The heavy rain that fell on the north coast of the island on Monday night caused severe damage and flooding. For many hours, mainly the northern regions of Crete from Gournes to Sissi have been struggling with swollen rivers, roads turned into streams and flooded houses and shops.

In many places, the situation is so serious that either the evacuation of residents is ordered or they are called to stay at home. It is impossible to describe everything, pictures will replace words better. So below you will find videos shot in various places in Crete, where you can see this element.
