Although for many people the first association with Malia will be carefree all night fun until dawn, it is worth knowing that the town also has a completely different, much calmer face. Moving away from the coast and the bustling club streets, you enter a very picturesque old part of this town, the appearance of which does not differ from many other charming villages of this type. Low, traditional stone buildings are separated by narrow streets. The entire maze of buildings gives the impression of a kind of labyrinth. Walking through it, you can come across taverns and various shops. The watchful eye of a trained tourist will also spot all sorts of details that testify to the long history of this town.
