This Sunday, Knossos Crete Half Marathon

If you consider coming to Heraklion next Sunday combined with visiting Knossos, due to the 12th half-marathon "Knossos Crete Half Marathon" played on this day, we recommend that you postpone these plans for another date. Between the hours of 8 and 12 it is planned to close traffic on parts of the streets, which will definitely make moving around the city much more difficult. This note, of course, does not apply to all those who want to participate in this race or simply to cheer on.

In particular, you can expect to suffer from the streets of Heraklion that run along the coast. In the morning, the road connecting the modern port with Knossos will also be closed. Next to the excavations of the most famous Minoan palace, there will be a place to start this race. The finish line is predicted while in the area of ​​the Freedom Stadium located on the western outskirts of the Venetian walls.
