While the arrival to Crete is one of the most enjoyable moments of vacation it is definitely hard to say the same about the departure. This moment marks the definitive end of the summer and goodbye to Crete. Today we would like to present you a short film from our this year's takeoff from the airport. Ioannis Daskalogiannis . In the further part of the film you can see the shots of the Akrotiri peninsula and Chania .
Going deep into the Richtis Gorge located near the town of Exo Mouliana, it is hard not to resist the impression that it enters a land completely different from the rest of Crete. The abundance of water and shade mean that even at the peak of the tourist season, this place is full of lush vegetation. So obvious rust colors dominate in other places of Crete, they are completely absent here because their place is replaced by lush greenery.
Ierapetra (Ιεράπετρα) is the fourth largest city of Crete and also the largest town located in the Lassithi prefecture. It is located on the south-eastern coast of the island, in the place of its characteristic narrowing. The name of the largest city in this part of Crete is by no means synonymous with some astronomical number of people living permanently in Ierapetra.
In accordance with the tradition so far, we finally managed to assemble a film summarizing our last trip. Spring in Crete is a good time for hiking, so in our short clip you could not miss shots from this type of trips. We invite you to watch.
